Hey guys! If you are looking for book recommendations, you should really go somewhere else! However, if you're in search of some stupid stuff that is somewhat about books, I guess you're in the right place?
I really like fantasy, scif-fi, and the occasional non-fiction. If you have a good book about dragons, TELL ME. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT!
Two series that have just finished coming out and that are both AMAZINGLY AMAZING are The Lunar Chronicles by Marrisa Meyer and The Reckoners by Brandon Sanderson.
Now for a list of dragon books. (*Warning* these are all YA books)
My favorite series, despite being too young for me:
Dragon Slippers, Dragon Flight, and Dragon Spear by Jessica Day George.
Dragon Rider, Cornelia Funke
Dragon Keeper, Garden of the Purple Dragon, and Dragon Moon by Carole Wilkinson
Dragon's Egg by Sarah L. Thompson
Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin
Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance by Christopher Paolini (how could these not be on here)
Hatching Magic and The Dragon of Never-Was by Ann Downer (the main character's name was Theodora. Imagine every time typing/ writing her name: T h e o d o r a. Ann Downer is brave)
Dragonborn Toby Forward (I think this is a series but I've only read the first book)
(I've only read the first two) Chris d'Lacey The Last Dragon Chronicles, starting with The Fire Within
Ivy and the Meanstalk and Ivy's Ever After by Dawn Lairamore
The Last Dragon by Silvana de Mari
And for two that I haven't read but want to:
Seraphina and Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman
I just finished The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin, and it was pretty good. Like all mysteries, there were a couple of WHY IS THAT PERSON SO CLEVER moments for various characters, and at first I got Otis Amber and Sandy McSouthers mixed up, but don't worry, I got it eventually. I kept waiting for it to go all And Then There Were None/Ten Little Indians/Ten Little Soldiers (I know it as And Then There Were None) and for everybody to start dying, but it didn't. I'm not sure what I would've rather had. The ending was pretty good, and I won't spoil ther heir, but the whole time I was like "lol they're not gonna win because gnouy dna nrobbuts oot er'yeth (backwards spoiler)" and look what happened. Pretty much, this guy with millions gets murdered (GASP) and so sixteen players of his game with partners that all moved into the same apartment building must figure out who was the murderer. Each pair is given clues, but they're super weird like "SKIES AM SHINING BROTHER", "FRUITED PURPLE WAVES FOR SEA", and "GOOD GRACE FROM HOOD SPACIOUS". The clues are written on paper towels. I recommend it if you haven't read it already, and yeah.
